Visited CA for a weekend vacation and here was the only place we ate. NO regrets! Drove back to Arizona with pastries to eat for probably 3 more days. Everything I tried has been 10/10. Medianoche sandwich and Cuban sandwich were extremely tasty. The food is light, but still rich in flavor. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Have an idea (or a note in your phone) of what you want before you order because the line moves fast!

Cheese rolls are a must! The place is clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice and I was amazed. The Grill Chicken Sandwich is delicious, the bread is soft, the chicken is tender and the spread on the sandwich is delightful. The Dulce de Leche drink was well balanced and flavorful. It’s a must every time I’m in town.

The store was very crowded even in the morning. The line was really long. The food was really great though - nice pastries, nice burritos, and nice croquettes. The tables were very close to each other and it was a very open and crowded hall stuffed with loads of people. I feel like they were understaffed.

Great Cuban food. You got to try the potato balls if you go. It's meat wrapped in mash potatoes, breaded and fried. They also have culinary style sandwiches that are super tasty. Downside is they always super busy. Don't expect to be in and out very quickly. If order a sandwich expect at least a 20 min wait. Tables are hard to find during lunch rush.

Porto’s Bakery in West Covina is my favorite spot for sweets, especially their beautifully decorated birthday cakes. The flavors are always fresh and perfectly balanced. Because the shop is almost always packed, the staff can seem less attentive at times—they’re simply juggling a heavy rush. Despite that, orders are handled efficiently and the quality never slips. If you plan ahead or order online for pickup, you’ll still enjoy excellent service and some of the best cakes around.

Great quality food, fast service and busy. We went on a weekend and the line was long;however, we got in pretty quickly and the cashiers were fast, friendly and efficient. We love the food here, and we try something different every time we come. I love the ice matcha tea latte. My Family’s favorite is their potato meat balls. So many options for desserts. For the first time I also tried their cilantro chicken grilled salad, and I liked it. It was so filling and tasty.

I love Porto’s pastries………….. It was my first time at this location, the building is big but maybe not enough parking. I had to order ahead to avoid the line but still waited about 30 minutes for my order to be ready. The Matcha was okay, you can taste the low qualify used. The service was good but be aware, weekends are the busiest with big lines. Unless you are planning to eat there, is best to order online.

A classic done right—Porto’s lives up to the hype. If you’re looking for a high-quality brunch or café spot that balances affordability, flavor, and service—Porto’s Bakery & Cafe is it. I came by at 11 AM on a Saturday, and while it was absolutely packed, the line moved surprisingly fast and efficiently. Despite the crowd, it was a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Ambiance: 5/5 Lively and energetic, with a warm and inviting setup. Even with the weekend crowd, the space felt well-organized and welcoming. We found a nice outdoor seating area, which made the whole experience feel even more relaxed and enjoyable. Authenticity: 5/5 This place has a strong Cuban bakery identity that shines through in everything from the baked goods to the savory dishes. You can tell they’ve built their name on consistency and culture. Flavor: 5/5 Every bite was delicious. Whether you’re going sweet or savory, the flavors are rich and satisfying. For the price point, the quality of the ingredients and execution truly stand out. Cost: 5/5 Extremely affordable, especially considering the quality and generous portions. Porto’s proves you don’t need to break the bank for a top-notch meal. Service: 5/5 Even with the crowd, service was efficient and thoughtful. Since we opted for dine-in, they handed us a number and delivered our order right to our table. This level of attentiveness made a busy environment feel personal and smooth. Final Verdict: 5/5 Porto’s Bakery & Cafe delivers on every front—great food, friendly service, and a vibrant atmosphere. Perfect for casual brunches, family outings, or catching up with friends. I’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone in the area or even visiting from out of town. A gem that truly earns its reputation.
